Scot brings over 20 years of international experience helping people increase their professional and organizational performance. His career has included roles within General Electric Company, Genworth Financial (formerly GE Financial Assurance) and in the healthcare industry at Centra Health.
Scot is both a Certified Quality Master Black Belt, and a passionate Organizational Development professional. He has served in leadership roles encompassing behavioral competency model development, talent acquisition processes, workforce and leadership development programs, internal performance consulting, corporate training, facilitation, and succession planning processes. Scot thrives on helping others hone their skills to drive micro and macro-level performance improvement aligned with organizational goals. Internationally, Scot has facilitated development experiences within Canada, Mexico, England, Ireland and India.
Mr. McCarthy received his BBA degree in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame and his MS in Education from Capella University. As a social entrepreneur, he serves on the Board of Directors for Lynchburg’s Beacon of Hope, the Notre Dame Club of the Blue Ridge, and is a former Board member for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
