Margarita is the former Chief Risk Officer for GE Capital Latin America, former Chair of the Risk
Committee for the Board of Directors of GE Financial Mexico; and has served as subject matter
expert in Risk Management at Warburg Pincus, a leading global private equity firm. As a
professional consultant, she leads projects on Enterprise Risk Management, Business Strategy,
Transformation, Reorganization and Restructuring, as well as Corporate Culture, Human Capital
Development and Operational Excellence. She has successfully managed CEO/C-Suite
successions, working directly with the Board of Directors to operationally and strategically
reposition the company. Her professional path covers Asia, Europe, the United States, Canada
and Latin America.
Margarita holds an MBA from ITAM and a BS in Industrial Engineering from ITESM in Mexico.
She attained the highest Six Sigma certification by GE as Master Black Belt and Lean Six
Sigma Quality Leader, and is a graduate of Yale School of Management’s Women on Boards
Program. She is fluent in English and Spanish, with proficiency at the corporate business level
in both languages.
