As a Senior Consultant with Bluestone, Kelly brings over 25 years of Six Sigma, operational leadership, change management, and facilitation expertise. Her career has included roles within Genworth Financial (formerly GE Financial Assurance), GE Nuclear Energy, and Babcock & Wilcox Naval Nuclear Fuel.
Kelly has held various senior leadership roles in operations, sourcing, and Six Sigma, driving initiatives promoting employee development, employee engagement, and organizational vitality. Her responsibilities covered remote, international, and outsourced operations, and she led teams through an IPO as well as several mergers and acquisitions. As a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Black Belt, she has extensive experience coaching Black and Green Belts through program certification and project completion and leading projects of her own.
As a consultant, Kelly has helped organizations develop multi-year strategic plans, worked with teams to effectively lead through business changes and challenges, and designed and facilitated retreats on business-specific needs. In the area of Six Sigma, she has developed Black Belt and Green Belt certification programs.
Kelly’s certifications include Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Black Belt, Change Acceleration Process, and GE Capital Advanced Leadership and Facilitation Network. She earned her M.S. degree in Statistics and B.S. degree in Mathematics from Virginia Tech. She is currently President of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Virginia and Co-Chairs the nonprofit Friends of NRA Committee of Central Virginia.
